First of all, the threat of a Russian invasion of the EU is miniscule, verging on non-existent.
Second, with Trump seriously questioning the role of NATO, it seems that such a policy might be reversed in a few weeks.
Third, the latest US phony war with Russia is being waged at the expense of Europe. For them, this is a lose-lose situation.
If I were the EU, I would throw out the US military and US financial institutions as soon as possible. Neither will ever benefit the EU in any way.
Their priority needs to be coping with the US-sponsored Muslim invasion of Europe. If they do not, there will be no EU ... and the nation states of Europe will fall, too.
