Note well that the people who buy robots will be eliminating jobs for humans. Also note well that they will not give a damn if doing so turns millions (and eventually billions) of people into useless eaters.

That's ok. Military robots will be used chiefly to kill humans, and that has never required a "well-developed sense of touch". A bludgeon or a death ray will work just fine:
