According to this survey, a third of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans have considered suicide:

We are expending an astounding amount of money on our military ventures. All we are getting for it are destruction, animosity, and despair (both ours and theirs).
We lured the USSR into Afghanistan to facilitate its ultimate breakup. Is that also why we went there, to facilitate the breakup of the USA? It sure looks that way to me:
